Hey there! Long time no talk....And I take full responsibility. I know I’ve said it before, but writing a blog post is a lot harder than it looks and I have so much respect for those who do it on a daily or weekly basis (and do it so well!). I mean, for someone who talks a lot you’d think it’d be easier to come up with things to say (and the time to say them), but alas, sometimes it’s not.
Okay, that said, here I am again. And I’ve been thinking. When I started this blog a few months ago, my plan was to use it to talk about peach & pepper and all things related to it....my challenges in trying to build a clothing brand, my design philosophies, my design process, quotes and inspirations I love, etc etc. But now I’m thinking of expanding it a bit and would love to let you in on it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love designing! I love coming up with ideas, choosing fabrics, working through fit, aesthetics and comfort and especially wearing (and seeing others wear) my designs. Not gonna lie, that’s an amazing feeling! BUT (there’s always a but, right?), I’ll admit that sometimes I feel limited in what I can wear, post and promote. As a small business (with a very limited budget), I am limited to a small number of designs a season and therefore that gives me only a small number of p&p pieces to photograph, promote and sell. And while I do love my peach & pepper designs, there are so many other styles/brands/designers that also have a piece of my heart. (You’re looking at a girl who simply loves fashion and thrives on creative freedom....And there’s so much creativity involved in personal style!)
Soooo.....All that to say, I’ve decided that in addition to designing, I’m going to try to blog a little more consistently as well, not only about peach & pepper, but also about other styles, looks and pieces I love. That’ll allow me to post additional content and offer even more style freedom....And I’m excited to have the opportunity to wear and promote other amazing brands while still designing small collections each season (and producing designs in limited quantities).
Hope you all will continue to follow along and check out my upcoming blog posts! And thank you as always for all your support and encouragement....I so appreciate it!
Wishing you a fabulous week!
