The Twelve Outfits of Christmas - An Intro

It’s holiday time!! Anyone else excited to see all the lights, shop for meaningful gifts, attend those fun holiday parties and dress for the season? I love Christmas for so many reasons, but I’ll admit that holiday outfits are definitely one of them! Of course, shopping for said outfits can get expensive so I wanted to come up with a fun way to utilize just a few new items paired with both older staple pieces already hanging in my closet and some of my own peach & pepper designs to create a whole host of different holiday looks....enter my “Twelve Outfits of Christmas” idea!

Here’s how it works:

I’ve taken 12 main items (which include tops, bottoms, jackets and a dress....accessories and shoes not included) and have created 12 festive holiday looks in honor of the Twelve Days of Christmas....kinda fun right? These looks vary in style from casual to dressy (to somewhere in between), from cute and sweet to sassy and edgy. In short, it’s an eclectic mix of pieces and looks based on my own personal eclectic style. And I really had so much fun with it! So before I go any further, here are the 12 pieces I used to create the looks (and where I got ‘em):

 New Items:

Burgundy Fur Bomber Jacket (Forever 21)

Forest Green Fur Coat (Forever 21 – this was the only one in my local store and I can’t seem to find it online so I’ve linked a similar option)

Rose Sequin Bomber Jacket (Forever 21)

Pam & Gela Candy Cane Tee (Garbarini in Denver,

My peach & pepper designs:

Black Velvet Ruffle Top (Available at Shea in Denver,

Gold and Black Sequin Tank (Sample, never produced)

Red & Black Plaid Maxi Skirt (Soon to be available at Shine in Denver,

Closet Staples:

Black Paige Jeans (from TJMaxx)

Blue-GrayTulle Skirt (from Patterns & Pops in Denver,

CUSP Black Leather Jacket (Neiman Marcus)

Teal Haute Hippie Dress (Nordstrom Rack)

White Sequin/Beaded V-Neck Top (Saks Off Fifth)

In addition, these items all range in price and prove that you can absolutely do the high-low dressing thing and create some amazing (and still affordable) looks. I have included exact links to the new items in case you need them in your closet (with the exception of the green faux fur coat – I found a similar option though!) as well as items that I’ve found which are very similar to my closet staples. And of course, I’m including info on where you can buy my available p&p pieces!

And here are some sneak peaks of the pieces and looks I created with these 12 items….stay tuned for the full looks coming to the blog and Instagram over the next 12 days!

Do you have some fave holiday looks or pieces? I’d love to hear!

Here’s to festive style and a bright, sparkly Christmas season!
