Ways to Style a Graphic Tee

So if you know me or have been following my IG and blog for any time now, you probably know that I love a good quote (I may have mentioned it a time or two before)..... and as such, I am also a big fan of graphic tees (since it's basically wearing a quote plastered across your chest all day). Not gonna lie, I have quite a collection of these babies in my closet (I even considered designing some for awhile), but among all of them, I still have my faves and this particular one is right up there among my favorites.

Not only do I love the reminder "Don't Quit Your Daydream" (I need to remember this often....especially when I second guess myself and my desires to excel in the creative and fashion realm), but I also love the V-neck cut and ultra-comfy fit and feel of this cute Pam & Gela tee. On a side note, if you haven't checked out Pam & Gela, you should.....they have some really cute and unique graphic shirts as well as some other amazing designs! Yes they can be pretty pricey, but I have found a few of their pieces on sale (like this one I picked up at A Line boutique here in Denver....and I've also seen a few of their pieces at Nordstrom Rack so you can occasionally find them for less than full price).

And because I love this tee and love to style it lots of different ways, from super casual to even a little dressy, I thought I'd share with you a few ideas on how to incorporate a graphic tee into different types of looks.

Let's start casual since that's probably most people's mental go-to when it comes to a piece like this (I mean it is a casual t-shirt after all). So for my super-casual look I paired this tee with distressed boyfriend jeans, an H&M olive bomber jacket and my rose gold Adidas Superstars....easy, low key and perfect for weekend wear or running errands during the week.

For my second look, I was thinking girl's night, happy hour or even a casual date night. So for that type of occasion, I paired it with the same distressed jeans (can you tell they are some of my faves?), but threw on cobalt suede pumps and a fun white fur shrug, made by a local Colorado designer, Elfina (I love supporting other local designers and was so excited to find it at SHINE boutique here in Denver and get to meet Elfina too - she was so sweet!). Then I just added a studded clutch to complete the look. (PS. I also found another embellished clutch at Shopbop that has the same metallic tones and would look great as well) I love how changing just a couple elements of an outfit change change the whole look and vibe.

Finally, I wanted to go a little edgier with this tee for a possible fun event look I actually wore this exact look with the exception of the sneakers (wore Frye moto boots instead) to the grand opening of the new Frye store in Denver a few weeks ago. So to do that, I paired the tee with a fun pleated tulle skirtsuede moto jacket and high-top sneakers, all of which I found at my local Nordstrom Rack (I always find amazing pieces there!). And to dress it up more, you could definitely pair with heels, suede ankle boots or those moto boots I mentioned before.

So there you have it, three different styling ideas for your basic graphic tee. What do you think? Do you have a fave? And are these posts with styling ideas helpful? Would love your feedback!
